The Bake DUO
Since 2017
We’re Soph and Leesh – long-time friends (more like family!) and now business partners who share the same passion for baking.
We first met in 2017 while working in a bakery and instantly clicked. Life took us in different directions career-wise, but we eventually came back together. Soph had the idea to start a baking business and it didn’t take long for Leesh to say yes – it was always going to be a “no-brainer” decision!
Our Story & Inspiration
What inspired us to launch The Bake Duo was the lack of availability for people with allergies, intolerances, or those choosing a vegan lifestyle. We wanted to create bakes that everyone can enjoy, without compromise – because everyone deserves a sweet treat.

What we love most about baking is the joy and happiness it brings, both to us as creators and to the people who enjoy our bakes. Seeing all kinds of people enjoy our cakes, cookies, and scones is what keeps us inspired.

We’re Cornish girls at heart and love supporting local businesses. Wherever possible, we source our ingredients locally to support our community and keep things fresh.
Our Vision
Looking ahead, we’d love to expand into multiple locations and, one day, even see our products on supermarket shelves. We want our brand to be recognised as something with a bake for everyone.
